How to use Xiaomi Flash Tool

These are the instructions to use Xiaomi Flash Tool to flash or install Stock Firmware on any Xiaomi Smartphone and Tablets (this method can be used on Windows XP, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and Windows 10).

Note: This tutorial is only made to flash or install fastboot firmware, not the OTA Firmware. If you want to learn flash OTA Firmware on Xiaomi Devices, then head over to the How to Flash OTA Firmware on Xiaomi Device page.

Flash or Install Firmware on Xiaomi Qualcomm Devices

1. Download and install Xiaomi Flash Tool on the Computer. If in case you have already installed the Tool on your computer, then SKIP this step.



2. Download the Stock Firmware (fastboot firmware) and extract it on the computer).



3. Power Off your Device.



4. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power key at the same time for at least 8 seconds to enter into the Fastboot Mode.



5. Once you have entered into the Fastboot mode, you will be able to see the following screen:



6. Connect the Xiaomi device to the Computer using the USB Cable.



7. Open Xiaomi Flash Tool and Locate the Firmware (that you have downloaded and extracted on the computer).



8. Click on the Refresh Button. This will allow Xiaomi Flash Tool to recognize the device.
9. Click on the Flash Button to Begin the Flashing Process.



10. Once, flashing process is completed you will be able to see the Success Message in the Xiaomi Flash Tool.



Congratulations! Now Close the Xiaomi Flash Tool and Disconnect the Device from the Computer.
